Here's a bit about me... Find out how I got into the make-up industry and why I have such a passion for bridal make-up!

Hi and welcome to my blog! I’ve wanted to do this for such a long time and as we approach 2020 wedding season and I’m meeting so many lovely brides, I thought now is a great time to get started and share lots of handy hints and tips as you are all in wedding planning mode.

I’ll start with a quick intro, I’ve been a professional Make-up Artist since 2015 when I was awarded my qualification from the London School of Make-up – I’d highly recommend any aspiring make-up artists to check out the wide range of courses they offer!

My make-up journey actually started before that though, in October 2014 when one of closest friends, Emma, asked me to do her make-up for her wedding day (pictured above). It was such an honour to be asked and I loved making her look and feel amazing before she walked down the aisle to marry her husband - it was just such a rewarding feeling! That’s the day I decided I wanted to be a make-up artist and if it wasn’t for Em I wouldn’t be where I am today, so a huge thank you goes to her!

Since then I’ve developed a passion for bridal make-up and been lucky enough to play a part in over 40 brides’ wedding days. There really is nothing more rewarding than making a bride feel beautiful in their own skin. The most important thing for me as a make-up artist is to give my brides that little boost of confidence by highlighting their best features and simply making them look the best version of themselves.

Bobbi Brown has a fantastic quote which I can really relate to:

“I believe all women are pretty without makeup – but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful”

Celebrating your individuality and enhancing your best features with the right make-up is what I’m all about!

So, there’s a little bit about me and my story, stay tuned as there’s lots more to come on the blog including: tips for bridal prep, product recommendations and a few guest blogs from other fantastic wedding suppliers that are in the pipeline.
